Lovely food, lovely service. They have vegan and gluten free options. They can veganize some of their food too. They have altenative flavour lattes - not just coffee or chai lattes.

Parks & Nature

Drive to the end of Wentworth Valley Rd and there is a walking track. Go look at the falls, they are beautiful, you can also climb down to the waterhole, but its a bit perilous. Not a hard walk, slightly elevated. Good tracks. Be careful of unleashed dogs and some cyclists on the track.

Drive into Opoutere and park where Opoutere rd turns into Ohui Rd. Walk over the bridge and follow the walking track to the beach. Be careful of tree roots. The beach is VERY long but so beautiful. There are no surf life savers here so make sure you are a competent swimmer. The beach can be a little daunting. Great for competent surfers.

Another lovely beach in the Coromandel area. 10minutes from Whangamata. A strong drop off and the sand is quite soft so can be hard to walk in. Head to the south end of the beach for snorkelling around the rocks. Surf lifesaving attends over summer

This beach is about 40 minutes from Whangamata but highly recommended. There is a walk down a hill on a wide gravel track to get to the beach, but its not impossible. The beach is flat and wide. There are loads of stones from the hills that wash down into the inlet. These are neat for stone collectors. Walk over the hill to Otara bay for a treat. The walk is not for the fainthearted.
