Spend a good few hours wandering around the rural walks, there is even one across country to Adleburgh. Some great bespoke shopping. If your book around the time of the Adleburgh food and drink festival, it's simply a great day. Really chilled trying the artisan food and drink.

A small quay, great for crabbing with the children, walking along the coastal walk and enjoying the fresh air. Local tea room right by the waters edge is great for a relaxing cup of tea post walk. Highly recommended is a boat ride on the quay, tides and weather permitting. Listening to the history of the Deben, the BBC and times during the second world war. If a meal on a boat takes your fancy, try The Lady Florence, an experience to remember.

Take a boat out on the mere, or simply feed the swans. Lovely setting, set right on the coast. Two cafe's both good. We tend to use the Cafe on the opposite of the road to the Mere. We often walk from Aldeburgh along the coastal path, rest for a late lunch and walk back.
