This park offers a great place to enjoy the outdoors complete with an outdoor splash pool, tennis courts and children’s playgrounds- it also has walking trails around its perimeter that give visitors a chance to experience nature up close. The river has a few great beaches to relax and cool off.
A great way to enjoy the outdoors without having to drive anywhere is by taking a walk along the river trail. This path runs right along the Thompson River and gives visitors outstanding views as well as plenty of chances for bird watching or simply enjoying nature’s beauty.
The Concession at Riverside Park offers food trucks, kayak rentals, water bike rentals and lawn games.
The Concession at Riverside Park operates from June 25 – September 7 and follows the hours of 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Amazing cross country ski trails/snowshoe adventures just 20 mins out the back door in the winter months and great hiking/mountian biking fall/summer. There is a dog loop which is free to take the furry family on and its always perfectly groomed. The ski is always blue and the snow is perfection. There is a FB site (search FB: Overlander ski club) that gives hourly updates on the trail conditions and grooming.
