Hiking

There are several hiking trails that can be accessed directly from the property. Valley Half Loop | 4.5 km | 1 hr Follow the main track up towards the highway (orange arrows in reverse). Turn left at the sign that says Tierra Buena and follow the yellow arrows to cut through the middle of the valley. Turn left when you reach the end of the middle road and continue straight until you're back at the Villa. Valley Full Loop | 6.5 km | 1.5 hrs Start off the same as above. Instead of turning left at the Tierra Buena sign, continue straight and turn left at the next intersection (just before the highway). Follow the road down, across the stream, then after a steep incline you will once again turn left and follow the road all the way back to the Villa. Waterfall Out & Back | 8.5 km | 2 hrs For the more adventurous, start of the same as above but turn right at Casa Isabel and follow the road that curves to the left. It's a fairly easy climb that has stunning views all the way. You will pass a feeding area for the carnivorous birds and be rewarded with a waterfall if you make it all the way up. There are boulders near the waterfall where you can sit and have a snack before heading back down the same way.

You will need to drive into the village of Casares to get to the trail head for this hike. Follow directions to the point in this link https://goo.gl/maps/Rek1A1NxDbDEpZqf9, and take the road that goes up to the right. Follow it all the way to the end where you will find parking and several trails. Take the middle trail with the gate and follow the green/white markers along the side of the mountain. 6 km out and back

Follow directions to the following location https://goo.gl/maps/uC75Gv65p3LTk4ym9 where you will find the trail head and parking. After about 200m the road curves left then right, then after another 100m turn left and follow the green/white trail markers. It starts off relatively easy, but there are sections where you will need to climb over rocks if you keep going. The trail ends at the Rio de Manilva where you can also visit the Roman Sulphur Baths (Baños de la Hedionda) - turn left after leaving the trail and continue 200m after which you will see a staircase on the right leading down to the baths.
