Cuevas de Nerja , Nerja Caves, one of Spain's most important archaeological finds. The caves are thought to have been formed five million years ago and the findings suggest that they were inhabited already 25,000 years BC. Several paintings have been found in the caves, and archaeologists have recently determined that some of them can be over 40,000 years old. The caves stretch almost five kilometers along the coast and in some of the huge halls concerts and ballet performances are held in the summer. Adjacent to the caves is both a restaurant and museum.

The Caminito is a linear tour, not circular, only one direction and descending from North (Ardales) to South (El Chorro). It consists of a linear journey of 7.7 km (approximately 2h and a half).
