In Chiang Mai there are a number of well known restaurants that specialize in northern Thai food (Lanna cuisine).
Tong Tem Toh (ต๋อง เต็ม โต๊ะ) is sort of a trendy type of Thai restaurant.
They’ve upgraded from normal Thai street food or classic restaurants with the Pepsi or Maggi tablecloths, and instead they have dark wooden benches and tables, mist machines to keep diners cool, and Bruno Mars playing in the background.
But just to let you know, despite the trendy atmosphere, I thought the food was excellent.

I would like to recommend you, there are a lot of food shops, and you can find many food shops with the nice price in Chiang mai University as well. It is not too far.

Malin Plaza is a good place to find delicious food for a very good price. This place is filled of students from Chiang Mai university. From 6pm to around 10pm, all the shops and restaurants are open.
There you will find a few good japanese and thai restaurants.
There is also a clothes market, not very big but you can still expect to find some interesting prices.

The oral surgeon was so sweet, he knew how nervous I was and talked with me throughout the entire procedure, patted my shoulder and explained everything. What a relief, no more wisdom teeth in my mouth!!

Getting Around
Very nice shop, a huge variety of bikes. The owner is a polite, friendly and helpful guy who provides a great service and seems to take care of his bicycles. I took there a bike several times and once had a problem with the wheel, but the owner fixed it really fast. 7speed bike was in excellent condition, 6speed one was quite old, but still very comfortable to use. Would reccomend this shop to anyone.

On top of Doi Suthep Hill, at 3,520 feet above sea level, finds the revered golden Phra That (chedi) of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep rises against the sunlight. The temple was built in 1383 to enshrine Buddha’s relics. You can actually drive uphill to the higher platform but a lot of devout Buddhists choose to pilgrim by walking 290 steps up to the hilltop. After praying the Phra That for good lucks, don not forget to proceed to the terrace to soak up panoramic views of Chiang Mai town and surrounding countrysides.

Cool little shopping precinct with mostly food/drink places and tourist shops. It's a nice place to walk around and see the art, statutes and trees. They also often have events and festivals so there's interesting stuff going on.

I would say you need at least one other person with you to take pictures. Three would be ideal because there are scenes where you have more then one person to fit in to.
