Food scene

This place is a little pricy, and the owner, Cheryl, is quite eccentric, but we’ve never seen anything quite like it. The atmosphere is eclectic and interesting, and the food is amazing. Try the brussels sprouts to start or as a side. The tuna steak is a favorite of ours as well as the bacon and jalapeño wrapped quail.

This place is great for sitting by the water, having decent food and a drink, and watching some sports. They tend to have a heavy pour. I really enjoyed the bacon, avocado and soft shell crab sandwich. The burgers and fish tacos are also good, and they offer sweet potato fries.

Sightseeing

The Fulton Pier was destroyed a couple years ago by Hurricane Harvey, but the new, improved pier was recently completed. It’s a very nice public fishing pier now. It’s well lit and spacious. A great place for fishing or watching the sun rise/set. There is also a local bait shop just near the entrance of the pier.
