Seems so obvious that you would visit Lake Cresent if coming to Port Angeles. Stop at the Resort at Storm King rd. for delicious food, lodge like atmosphere, and scenic views. I personally love this spot.

Our family skis the mountain, we say, if you learn to ski at Hurrican Ridge you can ski anywhere. Beautiful views and hiking available with wild flowers and catching nature. I recommend planning on heading up early, road opens at 9. Sit at the gate and drink your coffee otherwise limited parking at the top and you may not get in or be waiting for a long time.

Our family skis the mountain, we say, if you learn to ski at Hurrican Ridge you can ski anywhere. Beautiful views and hiking available with wild flowers and catching nature. I recommend planning on heading up early, road opens at 9. Sit at the gate and drink your coffee otherwise limited parking at the top and you may not get in or be waiting for a long time.

Home of the waving bear. The Buffalo will lick your car windows looking for bread that you buy at the entrance. Lots of different animals to see. Fun fact, Disney originally bought the land from my Great Grandpa Jean Sapp to store the Disney movie animals. Later on it became the game farm.

This hike is one of my local favorites. Its got a good elevation gain, but I have done it with 30-40 pound packs, so if you like hiking, you can totally make it. Beautiful lake at the top.

Hike like a mountain goat. Wear good shoes and likely will see some black bears. Beautiful views at the top. After the hike plan on soaking in the Sol Duc Hot pools. "Due to covid, limited pool guests, check in with pool in AM to reserve an afternoon soak".

My friend just hiked Cape Alava and I am adding it to my guidebook for myself in the near future. Her pictures are amazing and this hike looks like so much fun. She did the triangle hike/loop that was 9.5 miles. Recommend leaving early in the morning with your lunch packed.
