Taxi meter only. Don’t accept fixed charge.
Fixed charge are sometimes requested by taxi. Don’t accept and get out. Take the next one. Fixed charge equals rip off tourists. Unfortunately, if you want the Tuk Tuk experience, you need to negotiate. Tuk Tuk drivers are master at ripping off tourists. (You may pay thb 300 when a taxi meter would show 60). Don’t accept free Tuk Tuk drives either as you will end up at a club or a tailor that pays the driver.
