Bunratty castle and folk park is located about a 1 hour drive from Galway. It’s really worth a visit. The folk park is an exact replica of an old Irish village, complete with an old school house, what a public house was like etc. It is made very well and I highly recommend it! You can visit the castle too.

Beautiful old castle. It’s now a hotel. But you can wander the beautiful castle grounds. The gardens, walk by the river and enjoy lunch in the castle restaurant. It’s stunning and worth a visit.
