Amazing views for such a short hike (roughly 1.5miles round trip with a 700ft elevation gain). Parking lot/pull out about 3/4 of the way up to Hurricane Ridge, 30min from the guesthouse. A quick incline, but doable for almost all fitness levels. Bring a snack or lunch to enjoy at the top!

The perfect beach spot to bring a takeout meal to. We often go here for dinner as a family. Beware, it is an exposed spit, so it will be much chillier and windy in comparison to the climate at the guesthouse. Approx. 20min from the guesthouse.

This can be busy on nice days, but it's a little more off the beaten path than the Lake Crescent Lodge beach access. Great for bringing a chair and soaking in the view. Approximately 30 min from the guesthouse.

Unbeatable views for being a drivable location (this is the visitor center at the top of the ridge, the guesthouse is near the visitor center at the bottom). Approximately 45min from the guesthouse. You will need a park pass that you can get at the booth on the way up- however if you need to purchase one, go early in the morning if you can. The line can be long because of it's popularity. Make sure to walk up and over the path opposite from the visitor center, then you get a view of all of Port Angeles. Bring a jacket, it can be breezy up there (hence the name Hurricane Ridge)

This area is also referred to as Salt Creek- if you look up the tides, you might be able to catch a low tide during your stay and check out some awesome tide pools and marine life. It's a nice beach walk as well. Approx. 30min from the guesthouse.

Food scene

During the pandemic many restaurants have variable hours. Make sure you check ahead of time- and plan out at least a couple hours in advance. Take out can take 1-2hrs during peak times, and sometimes if they're really busy, a place might stop taking orders.

Coffee

My favorite coffee and breakfast. 16oz hot mocha and a breakfast burrito with sausage, light on the potatoes and yes to sriracha mayo. We will drive here regularly despite having an espresso machine at home.
