Sightseeing

Cinque Terre is a must see! You can get there by car or bus/train in under 1hr from Casa Mori. Quintissential Italian seaside village on the cliffs. You can hike between the 5 villages. Make sure you research or ask us about which hike to take. Some routes are casual and others are a bit more extreme with elevation change. Bring your hiking shoes!! After the hike it is Negroni time!

A day trip to Florence is a must when in Tuscany. The Art, the architecture, the hip food scene. It is a truly magical place. All'Antico Vinaio for a monster sandwich on Focaccia and a Birra Moretti. Ponte Vecchio for window Jewelery shopping. Bargello to see Donatello’s bronze David, standing victorious over the head of Goliath. End your day with a cheap glass of Italian house red and a view of the sunset over Ponte Vecchio. Just WOW!!

Food scene

THis is our favorite pizza place in the WORLD! This family is original from Sri Lanka, learned to make Calabrian style pizza while in Calabria and brought the recipe to the Lucca area more than 25 years ago. To say they have mastered the art is an understatement. Whenever we leave town this is the first food we miss. Fruti di Mare pizza and a slice of Ceci (Chick pea) pizza. I am drooling writing this!
