Food Scene

This place is just so good. If you want to try traditional Lebanese food it's is a must try. We recommend doing a mixed share platter because it comes with so many different things and the dips are to die for.

I love the music here. The food is great Asian food with a twist. It's like they took all the good Asian food of South East Asia, made them traditionally, but also tried to make it a bit better by adding some flair to it. This is not fusion; it's just South East Asian levelled up food.

So this place is just the best secret bakery Brunswick has to offer. Good stuff, and you know it's good because it's in a back alley, and it always has a line with white people in it.

We could recommend heaps in the city because we used to live there. BUT, this listing is in Brunswick so we will recommend one amazing must have in the city. This little Italian place is just mind blowingly amazing! The food is so good that with each bite you are just like "what? How is it so good?".

Ramen here is good. I mean, like there is good ramen in the city (Hakata Gensuke's is the best in my opinion), but here it is really really good too. Also, have some Japanese beer on tap, or warm sake.

This food is yummy. Yummy Indian food. Word of warning; Brunswick quite often caters to white people, and this place is no exception. For an Indian place with so much yummy food, it is totally not spicy. If that's your thing, then good for you; but if you want spice, make sure to say "Indian level spicy please". Clarify you like spicy food. And they will make it proper traditional for you.

Good food. The vibe is super hipster, friendly, warm. So culturally, this place is really on point with what Brunswick stands for.

Drinks & Nightlife

If you need to do bar food, the food here is not bad, and they have some vegan friendly options. Check out when they do trivia because that could be fun.

Entertainment & Activities

Great Zoo for the family - my kids love it. But if you are willing to travel, I recommend going to the Werribee Zoo instead. It's a lot further out (I mean you could walk to the Zoo, but not to Werribee), but Werribee has a safari which just absolutely makes it. Like it brought me back to my trip to South Africa - so it has that effect.

Parks & Nature

So you could walk here, but it's pretty which and easy to get here via an uber. It is like a communal garden/farm, with animals and plants. Actually, all the plants you see at the apartment are from here. Highly recommend for a little organic romp.

Shopping

Come here for groceries. Coles is bigger, has more stuff. The butcher is great. Get some steaks from the butcher and use out BBQ at home. Season with olive oil, salt and pepper. Heat to 200, put steaks down for 2 min each side to have perfect steaks.

Essentials

It's like 7 11 except, it's a proper grocery store. Need anything, and this place is open till midnight. Make sure to take shopping bags out of the cupboard with you as we don't do plastic bags in Melbourne. (Saving the whales and such)
