Appearing to be suspended in the dry dock, the ship’s hull is below glass, so there is an amazing view from below looking upwards. It feels as if your are below the water surface.

Definitely a site to visit whilst you’re in Bristol. Either having a stroll over the bridge, or admiring it from the The Downs, overlooking the Avon Gorge. Spectacular views. There’s also an observatory near the Clifton side of the suspension bridge, built into the cliff face!

I was there every week as a child and was enchanted by the Romany gypsy caravan. Great Egyptology display and art collection. City Centre and Harbourside are only a few minutes walk away.

Still many smaller animals to see and beautiful gardens. The penguin and seals are wonderful. Great for a picnic too.

Blaise Castle

Not far from Studio Tavros, Blaise Castle Estate and Castle, is great for a good walk. There’s a lovely stream running through the woods, parallel to the path and a foley up on the hill. Good place for picnics! The estate’s house is open seasonally.
