Scottsdale has a GREAT off street bike path through greenbelts, along lakes and through canals. Great for kids because there are not cars. Also great for adults that are booze cruising. The path starts in north scottsdale and ends in tempe. Great to hop on a bike and grab brunch in old town (round trip 20 miles and VERY doable) or stop for a picnic on one of the many lakes. Happy to send recs on where to begin if you want to subtract several miles and concentrate on the pretty parts.
