Take a short stroll down one of our favourite parts of holloways - The Laneway - to arrive at an absolute treasure of a cafe. The food is "better than Melbourne" as quoted by a long standing Melbourne foodie fanatic/snob also my best friend. They save the best for the weekend - if there are any left purchase the almond croissants, I mean it. Purchase all of them! Best. Ever.

Pizza like it was circa 1990 Australia. Leave pretentions at home, grab a bevo or cool chardy at the local and enjoy way more toppings than you paid for while the kids run a muck on the arcade games in the laundromat next door. Be sure to try the garlic bread - double or nothing.

Machans Beach, located across the footbridge has brought our loud and proud communities even closer... to the bottle shop and to this fine food establishment. We would recommend a table on the deck, a bowl of mussels and a house white at sunset.

This place is a family favourite of ours! a short walk across the foot bridge or a nice stop on the way home. So damn cute and our boys aged 3 and 5 are distracted by the best toy collection going. food is good and service is good old fashion cairns
