This is one of our favorite Saturday morning walks to take. Depending on the weekend you may find a craft fair, a farmers market or live music. This is a great outing. Feel free to use the basket you will find on top of our refrigerator if you think you may need to do some shopping.
Check out one of the restaurants or spend some time shopping. You won't be disappointed and it is an easy walk from our house.

My husband has been skiing here since the 70s and we love all that Mission has to offer. This is a great family ski area. Lots of terrain to offer and a mid-way restaurant as well as a main lodge. They offer live music during much of the winter season and great rates for rental/lesson combinations. Worried it will be too cold? They have new bubble chairs that allow you to pull a clear shield down on the chair for more comfort while still enjoying the beautiful views to the top.

Lots of terrain to offer and a mid-way restaurant as well as a main lodge. They offer live music during much of the winter season and great rates for rental/lesson combinations. Worried it will be too cold? They have new bubble chairs that allow you to pull a clear shield down on the chair for more comfort while still enjoying the beautiful views to the top.
Ok, so this has been our kids favorite place to visit in Leavenworth. We started when they were young and would buy everyone a silly hat from this shop. It is so fun to go in and try on hats (the hat shop is next door to the wood shop). Just know they are very expensive but it is so fun to do!

This shop is so fun to browse and look for fun gifts and souvenirs. If you are going to Lake Wenatchee or Plain for the day make sure to stop at this store. Who would have thought a hardware store could be so fun?

This is a great, easy hike. In the summer there are lots of places to stop off and swim in the river. I took my Mom and special needs daughter on this hike and it was all easy for them since it is so flat.

Ok, so if you are going to be on the river in a boat, this is a great destination. You will have to launch above the Rocky Reach dam and it is a long ride but so worth it! In the summer they frequently have live music and you can even attend an art and wine class if you are lucky. It is pretty easy to tie up at the beach and if you bring beach chairs, the beach is really nice too!

If you get an opportunity this is a beautiful venue for a concert. The view is amazing if you go down to the Cliff House for a beverage and you have to get a picture of your group out on the deck. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Plan a full day for this trip. You will start with a ferry ride from Chelan to Stehekin. Make sure to take a trip to Rainbow falls and take time to grab some pastries at the store. This is a beautiful day trip and well worth the effort.

Food scene
Our favorite restaurant in Wenatchee - hands down! We love to get their hot crab dip with yummy bread and their lasagna is the best I have ever had. We usually share a large wedge salad too. Steamed clams are another favorite. Check out all the bike decor too.!

This is a great place for take-out food. We love the spring rolls and garlic chicken. Eating in? It doesn't have the best ambiancce, but we have always had good service. This is a locals favorite for take-out, so be prepared for a long wait when you call in.

Know that it is not fast food - they make all the food to order and this fun group of girls knock it out of the park with Croissant and bagel breakfast sandwiches. You will not be disappointed and you will feel good that you got some good exercise to get it :)

Ok, so this is my secret weapon to get girl friends to come to Wenatchee. Collins has mature styles of women's fashions and all my friends love to visit. You will also get great service from their team. The brands they carry are the same that I have found in boutiques in Europe. I love all their jewelry too.

If you like eclectic furnishings you will love this boutique. Plan to spend some time. It is one of those stores you can walk around twice and always find something new. The big buffet hutch in our living room came from this store, as did the green vases on our dining table. It's just one of those place you find "unexpected" finds. My husband Paul says the buffet hutch will stay here no matter how many times we move because it was so big and hard to move twice. It is also so old and very fragile.

Definitely plan to go here for a tasting. This is one of the only wine clubs we belong too. We love their hospitality. Check out the Hard Day's Work story about the grandfather of this infamous family.

This is a great place to buy or rent gear. We love their ski boot fitting process. Arlberg also has a bike rental shop at Pybus market. They recommend you get there right when they open on the weekend. They have electric bikes too - makes riding the Apple Loop trail a breeze!
