The official trademark owners of Taco Tuesday, this family-owned restaurant and bar has a great history. Greg Gregory still owns and runs the place. Solid food and a fun bar scene. Small outdoor set-up in the back.

Right behind The Crab Trap and on the bay, CJ's is a great place for late afternoon/evening cocktails to watch the sun set over the bay. It can get crowded, especially on weekends, so time your visit carefully.

A fun bar with a good restaurant as well (you gotta try their wings!). Be sure to pop on by at least once during your visit.

The newest of the bar/restaurants on New Road, JK's offers a newer, more polished environment vs the older, more traditional Gregory's and Charlie's. Our recommendation is to make a night of it, try all three, and decide which you like best since they're all within a couple blocks of one another!

After a day at the beach in Longport, it's hard not to pull in on the way home for a cold one to quench the thirst. Views of the bay are worth it!

Best local bagels by far! They're piping hot every morning. Always best to pop over there early before the crowds start and you'll be rewarded with hot, delicious bagels of every variety. Or order breakfast sandwiches to go and surprise everyone at the house!

What can we say, it's tough to beat a diner for good breakfast and all that's wrapped up in a "diner breakfast." Another walkable spot if you want to get out while the sun is still low.

During the summer, we highly recommend swinging by Back Bay and getting some amazing BBQ. Whether you eat it road side or take back to the house, you won't be sorry you made the effort - that's assuming you can make it home without scarfing it all down!

As Michelli's is for subs, Primo's is for Pizza...at least in our book. Solid, dependable and good group of people. Delivery times can run long on summer evenings but fortunately it's close enough to get over there and back in no time.

Food scene

There are lots of higher end restaurants in the area, especially in some of the casinos. These however are a few of our and our friends' favorite places.
This Atlantic City landmark will not disappoint. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is terrific, and the history lingers in every room. This is just one of several restaurants run by Frank Dougherty, who continues his family's century+ tradition of bringing fine dining to the area. If you watched Boardwalk Empire you may recall Nucky referencing this wonderful place.

If you want the best seafood in the area, Docks is a can't miss place. This 19th century establishment was opened by Harry Dougherty in 1897 and has been serving the fruit of the sea to locals and visitors ever since.
