Perfect spot to cool off during the hot summers. The water on this side of the river is crystal clear.
This is one of my favorite places in south central Idaho to while away the hours on a lazy afternoon. Perfect spot for picnicking and swimming.
Weekdays tend to be less busy than weekends. Head down early to snag you a spot close for the river. Bring bug spray in the summer. There are a couple tables available but we usually picnic here the old fashioned way by spreading a blanket out on the ground.
I recommend walking around the island if the gate at the bridge is open. Ritter Island operated as a dairy during the early part of the 20th century and there’s a self guided tour of the grounds available. Climbing up to the hay loft in the old barn is fun for kids and you usually can spot a barn owl or two up in the rafters. There is also a trail that winds it’s way to a scenic viewpoint of Minnie Miller Springs.

Located about 40 minutes from Twin Falls, this is a favorite spot to soak among locals especially during the winter months.
This place is tucked away from it all down in the canyon. The grounds are beautiful and as wild as it sounds they have an alligator enclosure on the property. There are private soaking tubs available, several public swimming pools, and a sun deck for sun worshippers. Book a massage while you visit for the ultimate in relaxation.
