The system is operated by Calgary transit, as part of the Calgary Munnicipal government's transporttation department .In 2017 it became one of the busiest light rail transit systems in North America. When useing the C-Train from Midnapore to get down town, you will get on at Shawnessy Station travelling North. You can get off at either Erlton/Stampede Station or Victoria Park/Stampede Station to particapate in Stampede festivities. You can get off at any station beyond that to explore Calgary's downtown core.

A variety of paved and unpaved walking, hiking and bicycle trails connect the park to the city's extensive trail system allowing visitors to access on-site day camping facilities, stables and an artificial lake - that allows swimming. the park features 80km (50mi) of trails of which 30km are paved. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, coyotes, owls and beavers.
