Food Scene

I love it because the chef is creative, makes good use of local products (he even goes out foraging). The dining room has excellent views towards the hills, the service is attentive, and professional. There is even a glass of champagne and canapes, for some gourmet guests, to start the evening.

One of the best little places of its kind in the whole country. Very tasty lunches and coffee and cakes. Deli attached so you can carry on eating well at home!

Drinks & Nightlife

Some of the best cocktails I have ever had. Meals available. I just go for the cocktails, I don't have a favourite, I like to try what's new.

Arts & Culture

I love the whole of the Black Isle, and I always make my way here for walks, to look at antiques, go to the monthly farmer's market, cross over to Nigg, and on to Portmahomack, I could go on and on about the many goods reasons to visit Cromarty and the rest of the peninsula. It's magical!

Theatre and cinema. Restaurant and café, the latter's fine, but there are better restaurants nearby.

Shopping

For some of the loveliest woollens, cashmere and tweed. There is even a Taylor in house. If you come here, you can then have some lunch at the Corner on the Square if you time it right. I would, if I were you.

Possibly one of the best places anywhere in Scotland to buy rare whiskies, there is a well-stocked deli, and light lunches are available.

You won't really need this shop, because you're staying at mine, but just in case.

Sightseeing

You can't come here without visiting the Loch. Nobody does. I recommend driving right round it. With the new Bridge that opened last December, you can be on your way in no more than five minutes from my house.

For rafting and river swimming, and overwhelming local landscape. Beware: the roads are very narrow.
