Pico Taqueria is the go-to taco location on Chincoteague Island. The restaurant is family run and outdoors. Their unique menu is regularly changes as they try new combinations. We suggest starting with the Chincoteague Classic, filled with lettuce, pico de gallo, cotija cheese, crème fraiche and your choice of chicken, pork or beef, before going for the more adventurous Maddox, filled with cornmeal fried oyster, pickled carrots, daikon, tartar sauce, and thai basil. The prices are incredibly reasonable, so feel free to mix and match.

A wonderful deli that has a large menu with subs and pizza, etc. This deli is right up the street from the house and it's really good.

Royal Farm is right up the street from the house they have amazing fried chicken & sides. The best in town. It's also a great convenient store and gas station.

The Town of Chincoteague has a lovely waterfront park, Chincoteague Veteran’s Memorial Park, for the recreation of residents and visitors. Memorial Park is located on Eastside Road. The Park has tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, fishing/crabbing pier, ball field, boat ramp, skate park, pavilion and restrooms. The pavilion may be reserved for groups through a permit issued by the Town for approval. There is no fee for reserving the pavilion. The Commonwealth of Virginia enforces a recreational fishing license for the water surrounding Chincoteague. The Town of Chincoteague purchases a fishing license for the Veteran’s Memorial Park fishing pier, so an individual license is not required. Please check with local bait and tackle shops for fishing license regulations regarding private piers, boats and the regulations for surf fishing on Assateague Island…etc.
