This is a popular trail for birding and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

The Park, which is supervised during the summer months, offers a 1.5-km (1-mi) sandy beach, with boardwalks providing access to the beach and protecting the dunes. Other amenities include change houses, salt rinse showers, flush toilets and two large parking lots.
