Best burgers in Washington State in our humble opinion. This is a drive through/in that serves up freshly made burgers, fries, shakes, and more. It's a great place to stop in on your way from I-90 West to Cle Elum. There's lots of parking and picnic tables to eat from - burgers are best enjoyed hot!

This is SUCH a gem in the little town of Cle Elum. A retired businessman and his wife move from the big city to open this small but charming farm-to-table restaurant. The menu is constantly changing based on what is in-season - and they offer an awesome chef's tasting menu that let's you sample the best dishes they have that day (plus optional wine pairing - highly recommend).

Open from May to October(ish), this is a great little fruit stand with fresh produce from the Yakima Valley, which also boasts a great canned goods sections (I mean home canned goods like jams, cobblers, pickles and more). It's right off the exit for the Quail's View Cabin as well - a great place to stop on your way in!

Outdoor favorites

This is the public beach area for Cle Elum Lake. It’s a gorgeous lake with the backdrop of mountains. This beach can get crowded in the summer and weekends, but hard to beat this lake! If you can find another more private spot (or know someone with property on the lake) that’s always nice too.
