We loved the Tomb of Anubis escape room and just everything about Great Escape of Central Texas.
You're able to scan a QR code outside to fill out the waiver & can just add all minor's names to it instead of doing them one by one.
The waiting area in the lobby has some fun little puzzles to start working on to help pass the time and there are helpful tips in there too.
The room itself was great. Very detailed aesthetic, we felt like we really were in another place.
The best part was they weren't all linear puzzles. Especially in a big group, it's helpful to be able to split up and work on different things but then it was really nice to be able to have everyone working on one thing at times as well.

I would argue this is one of the best lakes in Texas if not a top lake in the country. There is a large area by the dam with plenty of room to boat and sail and winding wide river passage for miles of exploring and boating. There are coves everywhere, and in any wind direction you can find good water for water sports or anchoring. The parks around this Corps of Engineers lake are also very well maintained with great hookups for camping and RVing. Veterans have a great location at the Fort Hood Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) facility with boat rentals, beach access and water park. They also have RV hookups and cabin rentals at fantastic prices. With multiple marina's on the lake you can find a place to park your boat for the weekend or forever and gas up. Dead Fish Grill is a lake dining experience few lakes enjoy.
The only bad thing, as with many Texas lakes, Zebra Mussels have been found in the lake, so boats need to be cleaned and dried with proper time periods out of the water before you go to other lakes. One advantage to the Mussels, is water clarity had improved dramatically in some area.
Lake Belton has the facilities and fun to be a great weekend getaway. Don't have a boat, rent one from Franks. Stay local in town or get a cabin
or RV on the lake for a perfect beautiful weekend or vacation.

Belton Lake
I would argue this is one of the best lakes in Texas if not a top lake in the country. There is a large area by the dam with plenty of room to boat and sail and winding wide river passage for miles of exploring and boating. There are coves everywhere, and in any wind direction you can find good water for water sports or anchoring. The parks around this Corps of Engineers lake are also very well maintained with great hookups for camping and RVing. Ft. Hood, named after General John Bell Hood, is said to be the largest free-world military base and supports all branches of the military (either wholly or to some extent) in the Greater Killeen, Texas area. My experience with military personnel here has shown they're mostly professional, grateful and a pleasure to know in business and personally.
Ft. Hood is the home of Darnall Army Hospital. (My experience with this hospital was one in which my life was spared at 8 years of age from an appendicitis.)
There are tens of thousands of soldiers here ready to sacrifice it all for the freedom if the United States of America. This is not a place to search for information or trouble if you are not a friend if the USA. If you are friendly visitor, there are museums to visit once checked in at the main gate.

Food Scene
Randomly stopped here. I'm from out of town, and the food and service was AMAZING. This is my first review ever in food, I even called to tell them how good this was. I got the jerk chicken and the portions are HUGE. I ate on it 3 times!! The best food I've had. The top! Must try!

Absolutely love this place! When I pass through I try to always stop. When you order your slices they are so fresh and the crust is crisp 👌sooo devine.. not to mention one of favorite foods is huge slices of pie (pizza pie)

I have seen many Rudy's Barbecue Locations along the highway and never stopped until recently. I ordered the Moist Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, potato salad, and beans. The sides were tasty but of course, the meats were the star. My moist brisket was surprisingly good and had just the right amount of fat to meat and was cooked to tender perfection. Brisket can be really good, or it can be like shoe leather, thankfully this was very good. All of the employees were very friendly as well. I'll be back in the future for sure.

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

The sides were tasty but of course, the meats were the star. My moist brisket was surprisingly good and had just the right amount of fat to meat and was cooked to tender perfection. Brisket can be really good, or it can be like shoe leather, thankfully this was very good. All of the employees were very friendly as well. I'll be back in the future for sure.
