City/town information

Warrenton is the perfect small town. Just 10 minutes from the Springs Cottages. It has everything you would want... quaint shops, cool restaurants and a fun Main Street vibrancy. Also, the Warrenton Greenway a 2.2 mile paved walking/biking trail follows an old rail route thru town. It begins near the parking area past Claire's at the Depot restaurant and ends at the Community Gardens off Meetze Road. Just outside of Old town are plenty of other shopping sites including five different grocery stores (Harris Teeter, Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, and Walmart). All are within 12-14 min of the Cottages. The Warrenton Branch Greenway, a lovely bike and walking trail off Main Street, is 2.2 miles of paved pathway.

My favorite restaurants

Fine dining, casual dining, bakeries
Claire's is always an amazing experience. Located in the old train depot, the building is filled with original character. The food is always supurb. Patio dining is also lovely with the back garden in view.

Black Bear Bistro on Main St serves a variety of delicious items. But my favorite is the Davinci (create your own) wood-fired gourmet pizza (gluten-free options also).

City advice

Getting around

No public transportation. Best to have a vehicle.

The Springs Cottages are 6 miles from town. The drive along beautiful Springs Road is gorgeous! But you will want to plan your needs ahead so you won't have to drive to town too often. Most everything you would need is locally available. If you have an e-vehicle, outdoor charging is available at all three parking spots for the Cottages and Carriage House.
Don't miss

Enjoy Main Street shopping and the Saturday Farmer's Market!

Check out the cool shops along Main Street-- including This 'n That Amish Outlet, Purple Pumpkin Kid's Boutique, Britches, Sherrie's Stuff, Latitudes Fair Trade, Town Duck, Deja Vu, Studio Lux ... and more.
