City/town information

Saugerties holds something for everyone. Sitting directly along the Hudson River there are beautiful river views, a historic lighthouse, and hiking areas along both the Hudson and the Esopus Creek. The village of Saugerties, maintaining its small town vibe, holds a variety of fantastic restaurants, galleries, antique shops, an awesome independent book store, and more. Additionally we are home to HITS during the summer months, holding equestrian events.

Near to all of our homes is this most unique location! You can tour the sculpture garden and on site quarry. The views and scope of this stone work are amazing. The site also hosts live music regularly in nice weather, along with other events. It is a gorgeous place to bring a picnic and catch an outdoor show (sometimes there are food trucks too)

City advice

What to pack

You´re in the country!

In all of our locations you are staying in the country! This means you want to bring along shoes that can get muddy, comfy walking shoes for exploring, and layers for cool nights. In the winter bring snowboots, and you will want to have an ice scrapper / brush for car windows. We typically have bug spray available at all our homes, but bug spray is important as deer ticks are common in our area for all but the cold winter months. (Be sure to use and tick check after all outdoor activities)
Getting around

Car service is not easy to come by

Particularly since the pandemic Lyft and Uber rides are not easy to come by in our area. If you are traveling without your own vehicle its good to preplan ride arrangements.
