Quik-Chik Fried Chicken. It is so good. Eat it hot, eat it cold the next day. Doesn't matter. Yes, its gas station chicken, but it will make you happy!

Food Scene

Long walk or bike to it. The food is good. Not great. Mostly fried fare. But if I had been alive in the glory days of old Key West, I feel like this place captures that essence. Great views too.

On par with New York coffee, and that is saying something! A quick drive or bike ride up the keys. That being said, we still mostly do the cuban coffee downtown. When in Rome, right?

Good cuban coffee. I hope to remedy this on my next trip, but I haven't tried their Cuban Sandwich which they claim to be the originators of. As a cuban sandwich lover, I will definitely update.

Great spot for breakfast. Sort of a ramshackle covered porch with uneven bricks, a bunch of ceiling fans and roosters walking in and out. There's an indoor section too, but definitely not as cool!

This is our go-to cuban coffee and cuban toast location. We probably come here 4 times a week when we visit. They make egg sandwiches on cuban toast too. It doesn't look like much, but its great!

It almost seems contrived by some big-whig, but when the food comes you realize that it is the grandiose vision of a Cuban-American that's proud of his heritage & his food. Get a combination platter.

Brooklyn is full of fancy foodie places, but very short on holes-in-the-wall with great food. When we travel I want local, fresh and character and Bo's has it all! Best conch fritters I have everhad.

Great food. Its a great place to stop going to or returning from downtown. Part of the old shrimp docks. On the water. Really great spot.

Shopping

Its got the basics. Gas station quality bananas/apples, sandwiches etc. But it also has a bunch of roosters loitering outside like a high-school clique. Always makes me laugh. Lots of beer too!

Entertainment & Activities

Great for little kids. They let them feed the fish and sharks after their presentations. Its pretty small and old school though.
