Fun little trip to take the ferry over to Southport. Best place to eat in Southport is a place called Frying Pan, they have the best seafood chowder and the sweet potato biscuits are out of this world. Only downside is it can be a pain in the butt to get on the ferry sometimes and the drive from Southport to Wilmington is about an hour.
