The iconic "Singing Ship" commemorates the passage of Captain James Cook and his ship, the Endeavour, through Central Queensland waters in 1770. Set on a hill overlooking the town and coast, it is a lovely spot to sit and contemplate. Meander your way down to the Anzac Memorial and read about the young men and women from the area.

If you wish to go swimming, it's always best to go between the flags. The surf club is located in the town near Kerr Park (3 Keppel St, Emu Park). There is also a cafe at the club and the park next to it has a great children's play area.
