At the location of our fjord hotel, you'll find our restaurant. At Garsnes, high-quality cuisine is served throughout the year. The menu is adapted to the local ingredients that are available at any time. What you can be sure of, is that we have something for everyone. We have both appetizers and main courses with meat and seafood, as well as good dessert cakes, coffee and drinks. On Sundays we serve our famous Sunday buffet; eat as much as you want for a fixed amount of 235,- NOK.

Entertainment & Activities
Polar Park, located in Salangen's neighboring municipality Bardu, is the world's northernmost wildlife park. Many know the park as the "Polar Zoo", which was the Park's name until 2013. In the Polar Park you'll find bears, Wolfs, Lynx, Wolverine, Arctic fox, mink, musk ox and reindeer.

Salangsverket is the witness of an iron ore adventure, and a witness of Salangen's golden age. At the start of the 20th century, there was built large structures and employed thousands of men to extract iron ore, but it didn't take many years before the adventure was over, as it turned out not to be profitable. Salangsverket is open to the public year round. South-Troms Museum offers guided tours.

A lovely, and relatively long, bike ride, at about 19 km by road. The entire stretch is estimated to take three hours, as well as any pauses and stops along the way. On a hot summer day, this is a must, with narrow roads and very little traffic. In the Rotvik, only 25 minutes cycling away Garsnes, there is a bench surrounded by beautiful nature and genuine Arctic idyll. Sit down and enjoy the summer weather with a good book and some refreshments.
