This is sort of like a rural version of Woodland HIlls. But nicer because there is very little traffic and more space between the houses and very quiet. It is nice for morning walks. The main loop has a gental grade. Some of the side streets are very steep. Your choice!

Sightseeing
Here are hiking trails and the 2000 year old Redwood trees. You can take a tour to Grant Grove...you may like a sweater as it can be 30 degrees cooler there and at times it is damp. There are rangers who are helpful and you can go on a yoga escape for a few days.

If you like yoga there are classes every day somewhere in Three Rivers. The "Canopy" building across from the Buckeye is my favorite yoga place. I think you can also get a massage down on the first floor. No matter what the views are spectacular.

Travelling with kids
There really ARE wild animals around here........!
It's true; there are rattlesnakes around. Not everywhere, and not all the time. But my next door neighbor found one in his wife's shoe. So watch where you are. As a host I sprinkle snake repellent and diatomaceous earth outside the house.
Packs of wild turkeys roam Cherokee Oaks...watch your step.... 50-100 turkeys can leave a lot of mess!
Bears are looking for garbage cans they can tip over and find food. Once a bear brought his bag of food from elsewhere and opened it up in my backyard and left food containers everywhere!
And bobcats are around. You get the idea!
