Sightseeing

Wonderful walk through the countryside. Take the stile opposite the front door, walk around the wall to the right and follow the footpath through Cunliffe Farm. At the end of the farm drive, turn right and then left at the end. Follow the road into Rivington and follow your nose until you reach the top. Fantastic views! Takes about 2 hours there and back.

Food scene

Great casual atmosphere. The beer is brewed at the neighbouring Cunliffe Farm. Food served includes pizza, greek food, burgers but it does change weekly. There is a indoor bar but also lots of seating outside with fantastic views across the reservoir to Rivington and the Pike. 20 mins walk from the cottage.

Modern local restaurant offering casual or formal dining. Set in an old church, it is a smart place to be at weekend. Good food and chilled atmosphere.
