Libraries are Finland's pride, they are everywhere and open to everyone. It's a perfect place to read magazines, there is a computer (you might need to get the library card to be able to use it) etc. Nice for children as well.

An interesting part of Helsinki with small shops & cafes and restaurants. Also Eira close by is beautiful, especially the seaside with the boat harbor is not to miss. Eira is the most expensice area to live in Helsinki.

Kallio is the trendy and colourful part of Helsinki. We like especially the area and streets around Karhupuisto with cafes, the big library and small shops. There are also some popular and traditional public saunas in Kallio (which we haven't tried), for example Kotiharjun sauna, which might be interesting experiences! If you like to try out sauna in more natural environment try the Kaurilan sauna in Meilahti.
