Fun Activities

The “Forgotten Coast” boasts being one of the only remaining vacation destinations in the entire country which allows visitors to enjoy horseback riding on the beach! A relaxing ride next to the waves of the Gulf is just another way to experience the laid back atmosphere of our area. We invite you to join us as we set our pace to the rhythm of the waves washing ashore while taking it all in… the seashell showered beaches, colorful sunsets, and on lucky days even happy dolphins playing! There are numerous photo opportunities during your ride. Someone once said, “You can’t take a bad picture out here!” Riding experience is not an issue as all of our horses, aka “Beach Bums”, are professionally trained and love their jobs. Many of them have been with us since the beginning, which was twenty years ago. Strolling along the shoreline and posing for photos is their only profession. Our horses love interacting with their riders and their personalities combined with the breathtaking setting makes for a perfect outing for your family!

Paddling One of the best ways to experience Mexico Beach and its surrounding areas is from sea level. Whether you paddle a kayak, a canoe, or a stand-up paddleboard, you’ll experience wild Florida in an intimate and personal way as you glide quietly through its rivers, canals, lakes, and bays. Several outfitter and guide services provide both rentals and guided ecotours led by experienced naturalists. Nearby Wakulla Springs State Park is a favorite, featuring the longest and deepest known submerged cave system in the world. And, for a truly primordial experience, try a paddle through the Dead Lakes.

My name is Lorraine, and I am the owner of Florida Dolphin and Snorkel Tours. Here is a little bit about us. We are a small family-owned business. The crew consists of myself, Croix, Drew, and Adam. We all have a genuine passion for the water. If you were to ask locals that work on the water around the tour boat industry about us, most would probably tell you that we are the tour that likes to have the most fun. We are usually always laughing and having a great time at work. It is very important to me to have a crew that is very positive. We are all friends and we make a great team. Usually, we will all stay in touch throughout tours via VHF radios and let each other know where wildlife and good conditions are for snorkeling are. We take a maximum of 6 guests every tour, so our tours don’t feel very commercialized. Everything is custom catered to you. Do you have any special requests? Let your guide know and we will do our best to make it happen for you. We know that not everyone desires the same thing. Our goal every tour is to make our tour the highlight of your vacation. Our Mission is to work with a purpose and provide educational experiences, which allows for a greater understanding and appreciation of wildlife. We are an eco-friendly tour and take steps to make sure we do not disturb or harm any wildlife. All of the live invertebrates in the pictures get put back in the water unharmed.

Although Hurricane Michael delayed the process, construction is now complete, and the Honor Walk was officially dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2020.
