The Arcade is amongst the 90% of historic buildings that have been restored and preserved in downtown Providence. It is the landmark for the first shopping mall in the United States. The shops are all local -I highly recommend checking out the H.P. Lovecraft storefront to get a taste of Providence's weird and literature-elite at it's finest, and to stop in New Harvest for the best coffee in town --make note of their whiskey selection. Yes, coffee and whiskey.
