Food Scene

Chef Eduardo Jordan won two James Beard awards in 2018: Best Restaurant NW for June Baby and Best Chef. His first restaurant, Salare (just a few blocks away) is more high end. June Baby is southern food like you’ve never experienced it before. You’ll be rewarded for being adventurous. Close by, but we recommend driving.

Great food in a really neat space. It's proximity to Green Lake park is an added bonus.

Ok, we're biased, but the University of Washington campus is gorgeous. The amazing architecture and beautiful scenery will make you wish you were a student again.

Get some fresh air at Green Lake! The walking loop around this park is a popular people watching past time. Kayak and Stand-up Paddle Board rentals are also available, plus sports fields. Many really cute cafes, exercise classes, restaurants, and amenities can be found here.

Have you heard of this company called Amazon that's taking over the world? Well it built two large glass spheres in downtown and we're not sure what to say about them out loud but secretly they are kind of cool. Worth checking out!

Capitol Hill. Home to a thriving bar scene, food scene, and music and arts. We couldn't pick out just one place to recommend here, because it honestly seems to be changing every few weeks. Ask us for our most recent recs!

Arts & Culture

We love the Seattle Art Museum! It's typically pretty modern but always has different rotating shows so check online. Some great sushi nearby as well.

Close and nearby one stop shop for your groceries and personal care. Products are pretty generic and lines can be long, but cheapest prices.

Higher end groceries and produce and a locally loved hot food bar. You will pay slightly more but you'll feel extra Seattle-y.
