Food Scene

This spot is located directly downstairs from the apartment, and I recommend a visit! They have a full restaurant and full bar, both of which are open late. It's a bit of a chameleon depending on the crowd--some nights are quiet, some are raucous.

Known for their amazing pizza, their regular entrees can get quite creative, and you can trust any dish you order here. (I tried tripe for the first time here and loved it.) However, it is usually extremely busy during normal dining hours - the wait can easily be over an hour. There are plenty of bars nearby, and a Roberta's To Go option next door for takeout pizza, but be prepared!

My absolute favorite restaurant. They serve a rotating menu of Italian-inspired dishes, and boast an amazing wine selection as well. The service is also impeccable!

One of the best donut shops in NYC! They are entirely vegan, and they are delicious. They have creative offerings that vary daily. I highly recommend the peanut butter and jelly donut, if you can catch it!

The best cocktails, period. This spot is hidden--you can enter it either through a painted door in Sweet Science, or through the black door under the large boxer mural on the street. If you enjoy cocktails, it's a must stop!

The dive-iest of all dives. Drinks are cheap, large and strong. Many enter, few remember leaving.

Entertainment & Activities

The Nitehawk serves a full menu of food and drinks, brought to your seat throughout your movie. I highly recommend for that alone! The food is always tasty. There's also a full bar downstairs that's fun for a couple of drinks pre- or post-movie.
