Beautifully designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan this enormous space 3,500 square meters (a disused car park) feels like a bit like a food court, but a luxurious one. Sky high ceilings, hanging candelabras, mirrors, 770 seats across four different eateries and various drinks and oyster & champagne bars with a 20s atmosphere. The layout is market-style open plan and it’s Spanish fare all around, but there are still subtle differences between each of its areas. La Braseria and La Llotja are the two main restaurants, specialised in meat and fish respectively, more formal and expensive, and the only places that offer reservations. La Taperia for more informal small-plate dining, La Paradeta for san

Just a step from the flat there is a great place to taste Spanish and Catalan Cuisine. It is always crowdy there, but worth waiting a table. Fresh seafood, local tapas, Spanish wine. Must visit place!

A really popular place to have dinner or try typical tapas and "flautas" (tiny sandwiches) . This restaurant is extremely popular among the locals, which is a good sign! The prices are also friendly.

Shopping

The heart of the Barcelona shopping district; spanning from Passeig de Gracia, down to the Cathedral. Adventure outwards though to find designer boutiques and non-chain stores.

The Razzmatazz nightclub has been in Barcelona for such a long time already that it might even be considered an institution. It is huge and it offers a unique mix of people as it attracts clubbers from all kinds of nationalities and musical genres as it has 5 different areas to offer that all play a completely different type of music. So one can first dance to Hip Hop tunes and then wander to the punk rock area to let lose even more. There is an entrance fee of 15€ that enables access to all 5 areas and that also includes a free drink. Due to the enormous size of the Club there are also lots of different bars so that in general one does not have to wait very long to be served.
