PIES PIES PIES!!!! So many different types of pies to choose from! Some of our faves include the pork belly and the ferg and cheese. And the bread...how can we not mention the bread! Also a good spot to grab breakfast on the go...the breakfast wrap is our go-to...plus they do a great coffee. Open pretty much all day and night so a good shout any time of day!

While Ferg burgers are indeed delicious...you can get a Devil burger in half the time and they are just as good (and dare I say, if not better) as a Ferg. Try the She Devil...oh...and did I mention they do chips and gravy!!??

Entertainment & Activities

Basically it is a haunted house...I don't want to say too much about it but it's an experience you probably won't forget for quite a while! Definitely recommend...not for the faint-hearted though!

Onsen Hot Pools are hot and steamy on snowy days, warm and sheltered on rainy days, cool and shady on sunny days, and simply magical in the evenings! Water temperature is set according to the day - generally between 37.8C on a hot day, to 39.8C during a snow-storm. You get great views over the shotover river and at night you will see so many stars!

I think this is a must whilst in Queenstown. The Earnslaw first set sail the same year as the Titanic and is still going strong. You can see all the engine room of this cola powered ship on your way over to Walter Peak Station where you can enjoy a HUGE BBQ lunch or dinner and farm show. Definitely worth it in my opinion...there is so much food and it was so good!

Drinks & Nightlife

Hidden away down a back alley in the centre of Queenstown this is our favourite cocktail bar! It has a bit of a James Bond theme going on and has a roaring fire place in winter. Great cocktails, top shelf spirits and bar staff with good banter. The restaurant downstairs while not cheap is a very special place to go if you want a special night out for 2. Check out the degustation menu...mmm!

This beautiful track is right at Queenstowns doorstep! There are several ways to get up there so worth going into the DOC office on Stanley Street in town to pick up a map, or there should be one in the compendium. You can begin the hik from Queenstown or you can access it via Arthurs Point and the moonlight track. You can go as far as Ben Lomond Saddle, or do the final part to the summit where you will be rewarded with 360 degree views...epic! Make sure you have good walking shoes, water and suncream. Check conditions in winter as it can get really snowy up there and there are some pretty steep drops.

Arts & Culture

To get a good dose of history and to find out about Queenstowns interesting past visit the Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown. It's is much more than a museum in the conventional sense; hence its popularity with local residents and visitors from all around the world. The museum has a strong hands-on focus, presenting an authentic picture of early Maori life and the harsh pioneering days of the European settlers and goldminers through working displays covering two floors and incorporating three historic buildings.
