Another great reason to visit the historic port city of Alpena, the Alpena Bi-Path takes you on a 10-mile scenic joy ride around Lake Besser, along Thunder Bay River, and through several city parks and beaches with views of Lake Huron. The entire trail is asphalt pavement or widened concrete sidewalks, relatively flat and close to local lodging and restaurants. You’ll find convenient parking and restrooms at most city parks along the trail. Altogether, just a fine and pleasant way to spend the day exploring the scenery and many amenities of Alpena.
