Big Corn Island Guide

There are several beaches to spend the day on Big Corn Island: 1. Arenas Beach / Picnic Center Beach (10 min. by foot downhill from Sunhill Villa). Two restaurants are on this beach: Arenas Beach Hotel restaurant and Picnic Center restaurant. Deck chairs at Picnic Center restaurant are for free. Deck chairs at Arenas Beach Hotel for a fee. On this beach normally it is not very windy. Therefore, it can be quite hot. 2. The beach at Sea Side Grill restaurant is perfect for snorkeling and to spend the day. Deck chairs at Sea Side restaurant are for free. It can be quite windy. It it is too windy move to Arenas Beach / Picnic Beach.

Fish and Lobster restaurants and a Caribbean bakery

The house is situated on the top of a hill. From there you can see on both sides of the hill down to the ocean. A walk down the hill to Arenas or Picnic Beach takes 10-15 minutes. Down to Long Bay the walk takes 15-20 minutes. In the south of the island, where the house is located, it is usually significantly less windy than in the north of the island. Nevertheless, due to the altitude, there is always a slight breeze blowing on the property of the house.
