Minyon Falls are the highest single drop waterfall in Australia. Stunning views from the top, which is a very short walk from the car park, suitable for young kids and the elderly. Note gravel road. There are many walks in the park, including a more strenuous one to the base of the falls where you can swim.

Easy level walk to the base of the falls through the rainforest, suitable for kids and elderly (except at the end there are a few stairs and boulders). Note you can't swim in the pool due to an endangered frog. Named for the Protestors who saved the national park from logging.

Evans Head was a training site for the Air Force in WW2. Fantastic, well organised museum at the old runway containing lots of planes, including an F111 you can climb into. Great for kids on rainy days. Run by volunteers.
