Food Scene

It's a restaurant & full bar. Lots of outside seating. Live Music in the evenings & on weekends. They've got a great rooftop seating area! The nachos & the frozen margaritas are my favorites. Especially the pomegranate swirled frozen margarita.

As locals we just call it "The Strip". It's a few blocks of bars & live music venues along with DJs. Every night is different on the strip. They've also got a few pretty darn good food trucks too!

Parks & Nature

This park is only .8 miles away. It is literally down the road from my home. It is the oldest park in Texas & the 2nd oldest in the entire nation! It's small [approx 46 acres] but i find it very pretty & i often walk or jog down there & around the park. During the summer the pool is open. This pool is surrounded by tall Cypress trees & is a spring-fed pool. Also... it's free. The pool is only open between June & August. There are picnic tables & a few barbecue pits. No reservations needed.
