This place is less likely to be in the guide books, however it carries a lot of history and is worth visiting. It is the former Cercle Sportif Saïgonnais (CSS), located 55B Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai (formerly rue Chasseloup-Laubat). The CSS was a classy members only sports center built at the beginning of the XXth century during the French colonial period, which lasted until april 1975 and the fall of Saigon. In particular, it had the only swimming pool in the city in that era, of olympic size. Today a sports center for everyone, it looks very much like a century ago. It is just near the Tao Dan park, which is the nicest park in Saigon.
