Canoe Lake dates back to 1886, located east of South Parade Pier and surrounded by open grassland, perfect for picnics. Pedals boats are for hire, which are great fun for everyone. Adjacent to the lake is a café, large children's outdoor play area, including a zip wire, sand pit and splash park. The remaining walls of Lumps Fort offer a peaceful and restful setting for Southsea Rose Gardens. Other facilities in this area include grass and hard tennis courts, bowls greens, putting, St Helen's field cricket field and the Model Village. The Natural History Museum is also nearby with butterfly house and observational beehive. Entry is free.

Food Scene

Located on the harbour-side at Portsmouth with the beer garden overlooking the water. Dating back to the 1700's, this was the first place spices from Jamaica landed. It was originally three old smugglers pubs. A great place to visit.
