A lovely traditional pub and place to eat and drink for a reasonable price. Gupshill Manor is steeped in history, most of it centering around the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. In the main building, around the fire places you will see some ornately carved stonework, these pieces were stolen from Tewkesbury Monastery during King Henry VIII’s dissolution of the church.

The John Moore Museum is nestled in a row of historic timber-framed buildings close to the Abbey in Tewkesbury. The museum was in memory of the writer and naturalist, John Moore. Today it is also home to an extensive Natural History collection featuring specimens of the mammals and birds native to our countryside. A few doors away is The Merchant’s House, a two storey building which has been beautifully restored and furnished to show the construction of a 15th century shop and dwelling.

Chef & Owner Mat Gabb always looks for the finest ingredients and travels early mornings to wholesale markets to ensure we have the freshest fish and vegetables the season has to offer. At My great Grandfathers they try to contact and deal with the main producers of foods to ensure premium quality. This gives the restaurant a unique advantage to its knowledge and the use of our ingredients.
