Just inside Yellowstone park but not an official "entrance" to the park. Does require driving a certain distance on gravel roads. Once there, wade in the shallows around the soft sandbars and have a picnic next to the falls. Fills your soul!

Ok, if you are really in the mood for an adventure and you have a four-wheel drive vehicle, take the Ashton Flagg Ranch road all the way to Flagg Ranch. Deep into the heart of Targhee National Forest you will pass various lakes and creeks. There is a good chance you will be the only ones on the road!

On the north side of the road, explore lilly-pad covered Indian Lake. There is a great chance you will spot and hear the loons that nest there. There is a secret waterfall on the south end of Bergman Reservoir. Follow the stream, you can't miss it.
