Jackman and McRoss is a Hobart institution. Their New Town store is only a 5 minute drive away from the cottage, opposite an old sandstone church and an antiquarian store. It's much more cosy than their Battery Point location.

Myu is a little further out, to be quite honest, however at just over a 5 minute drive away, it deserves to be mentioned. This Malaysian-Chinese restaurant is brilliant, and is highly recommended.
