It's just across the road from the Beach Cottage. Remember that it's not safe to swim from December to April without a stinger suit because of Jelly Fish. The nearest stinger net is a 30 minute walk south down the beach or a 5 minute trip car to South Mission Beach

Dunk island offers wonderful beaches, a cafe that sells food and drinks, a campground and a jetty to fish or jump off. There is a water taxi that takes trips there on a regular basis, located in Wongaling beach.

Not a swimming beach but a great example of littoral rainforest and impressive mangroves. Go there at low tide to explore it best. If you turn right at Holt Rd, then it leads you the little known and private Brookes Beach which is an excellent swimming beach and because it is so private, the area's unofficial nude beach at the northern end of it. Keep in mind that there are no legal nude beaches in Qld.
